Curve Speed Warning Systems

Curve speed warning systems use a combination of GPS and digital maps to assess threat levels for a driver approaching a curve too quickly. UMTRI has been working with Visteon on the development and evaluation of such a system within the road departure crash warning (RDCW) field operational test sponsored by NHTSA.
