Bernard Puroll is an Engineer in Research Lead, a member of the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute Engineering Systems group.
His systems experience includes more than 15 years designing, developing, and deploying embedded software in the automotive industry. The problem spaces for these automotive components include battery management, climate, chassis, powertrain and information displays.
He has participated in the development of relational database software for routing and tracking inventory on the plant floor for automotive original equipment manufacturers. He has also participated in a large scale software development team chartered with developing a training information system for aviators utilized by the U.S. Department of Defense.
Mr. Puroll holds a BS in Computer Science from Wayne State University in Detroit, an MS in Software Engineering from the University of Michigan Dearborn, and an MBA in Management from the University of Detroit-Mercy in Detroit.
At UMTRI, Mr. Puroll's work is focused in the area of cybersecurity.
