David J. LeBlanc
Dr. David J. LeBlanc, associate research scientist, has been at UMTRI since 1999. Dr. LeBlanc's work focuses on the automatic and human control of motor vehicles, particularly the design and evaluation of connected and automated vehicle systems. He has led dozens of research projects, including ones sponsored by NHTSA, GM, CAMP, Toyota, and Honda. He is the author or coauthor of several publications in the area of connected vehicle systems, driver assistance systems, driver behavior modeling and analysis, vehicle dynamics and more. Dr. LeBlanc holds a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering from the University of Michigan, and master's and bachelor's degrees in mechanical engineering from Purdue University.
