Yiheng Feng is an assistant research scientist in the Engineering Systems Group. He earned a PhD degree in systems and industrial engineering from the University of Arizona. He also has an MS degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota and a BS degree from Zhejiang University, China. Dr. Feng's research interests focus on connected and automated vehicle (CAV) system, traffic signal systems, CAV mobility applications, and arterial performance measurement. He has developed connected-vehicle-based traffic-signal-control algorithms using statistical and optimization methodologies. He also has experience in developing and implementing the UMTRI CV-CID (connected vehicle controller interface device) which can collect and process all connected-vehicle, traffic-signal, and loop-detector data in real time. He is also interested in other CAV V2I mobility and safety applications. For more information, visit his personal website.
