YDBIP Capabilities

Our primary expertise is in young driver behavior and injury prevention.  To carry out our research, we collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data through focus groups, expert panel groups, in-depth interviews, observation and surveys (in-person, web-based, phone and mail).  We also perform secondary analysis using existing datasets of interest (e.g., FARS: Fatality Analysis Reporting System), as well as comprehensive literature reviews.  We develop, test, implement and evaluate programs aimed at reducing motor vehicle crash risk.  Our group has expertise in each of the following areas:
