Research Interests/Areas of Expertise
Joined UMTRI in 2014 and is a research engineer in the Biosciences Group. Earned a master’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Michigan.
Research interests focus on injury biomechanics. Involved with computational modeling of impact scenarios, mechanical fixture design, and biomechanical impact testing. Involved in the setup and running of various rigid body and finite element models investigating topics such as restraint optimization, occupant size, and occupant posture with the use of crash dummy and human body models. Also aids in numerous sled impact tests focusing on vulnerable occupants including children and occupants seated in wheelchairs.
